Ever feel like you’re talking, but no one’s really listening? π€
We’ve all known a “Ted” (or maybe we’ve been the Ted).
While “Ted” might have his own agenda, in our professional lives, mastering active listening is key to effective collaboration and stronger relationships.
It’s about hearing to understand, not just to reply.
Why You Can’t Afford to Be “Ted”:
ππΌ It builds trust (no one trusts a Ted).
ππΌ It prevents misunderstandings (which saves time and sanity).
ππΌ It makes people feel valued (and valued people do better work).
In all seriousness, active listening is a superpower in all walks of your life.
My Tip:
If you want to level up your connection skills, I highly recommend the book “Radical Listening: The Art of True Connection” by Robert Biswas-Diener and Christian Van Nieuwerburgh. Itβs a game-changer!
